Why does bike commuting and public transit flourish in San Francisco? Why do they have THREE competing car-share companies, while we have none? Here's one reason--it's expensive to PARK a car. A big attraction to joining a car-sharing program here is not having to find (and pay for) a place to park.

Victor fixing up a sweet old Raleigh at the Bike Hut. In addition to repairing and renting bikes, Victor trains local youth from neighborhood in bike mechanics, dealing with people and making a living. He just finished seeing one young man through earning a bike to give his mom for Mother's Day.
