10th Annual July 4th Firecracker Metric
It's  hard to believe, but the 10th annual 4th of July 100K ride is right around the corner.  To celebrate this big anniversary, we have changed the route. While the route incorporates parts of the old route, it is different, so you will need to pay attention while on the ride to new turns. This year, the ride is sponsored by The Spin Cycle, Ben and Jerry's of the triangle, Wellspring Grocery (Whole Foods), The MS 150 Bike Ride, Happy Fun Racing and Capital Cycling Club. The ride is free, but we encourage donations to help defray the costs to the club. There will be two rest stops on the ride and one will be at a store, so please bring a little cash for any extra refreshments that you might want. The MS Society will be here recruiting riders for their annual 150 mile bike ride each September to benefit MS research. Ben and Jerry's will be scooping ice cream at the finish, and Wellspring will be supplying fruit for the ride.  Be sure to say thanks to all the volunteers that work so hard to make this event a reality. Once again, The Cary Police Department will be here to escort us out of town. Be sure to be here early. The ride rolls at 8:00am on the 4th from The Spin Cycle in Cary. For more information go here: http://www.thespincycle.com/10th4thride.htm
